HISTORY

Members of the United Methodist free church built the Cherrytree Hill Chapel as a Wesleyan chapel on the corner of Union Road and Osborne Road and opened it’s doors in 1864 at a cost of £3000. It seated a congregation of 500.

It served the neighbourhood until 1923 when the building was sold to the Sheffield Photo Company who processed photos there for over 60 years until 1984 when Henry Hall Ltd acquired it for their business and showroom.
